What The Alt-Right Can Learn From The Death Of Chester Bennington

Sexually molested from the age of seven, divorced parents, a steady cocktail of drugs from the age of eleven, with alcoholism and depression entering later on — these are the things that framed the childhood of Linkin Park’s frontman Chester Bennington.

Unable to overcome his traumas and subsequent addictions, he chose to use them as a painful source of inspiration in his lyrics. His suicide is unfortunate, especially for his children and wife, and whether we listened personally to the band or not as we were growing up, Linkin Park held a central position representing the millennial generation’s frustrations with life and all the associated mental effects relating to the increase of broken homes and fragmenting communities. The band spoke of problems most of us experienced as teenagers, back when we were confused and distrustful of the direction our supposedly fantastic and free society was heading. Now, as adults in the Alt-Right, with infinitely more resources and knowledge at our fingertips, we are dedicated to overcoming and fixing these issues within ourselves and our societies. But still, for many of us, Linkin Park was the herald awakening millions of teens to the realization that the world is messed-up and it was time to prepare for a long battle. For this reason, I believe it’s worth spending a few moments looking into Bennington’s life of inescapable addiction and seeing what we in the Alt-Right can learn from it.

For me, I remember Linkin Park being the most popular band in my freshman year of high school in Central New Jersey. It was the last year I’d spend in the United States before moving to Hungary with my parents. My friends would carry around the Hybrid Theory CD and hold it reverently during recess while talking about the lyrics. We’d sit with crossed-legs in a circle in the shady corner of a grassy lot while the spawns of diversity hollered and beat each other up on the nearby basketball courts.

I only got into the band later, for a few months when my father was in the hospital in Hungary, dying from terminal lung cancer. The music is not positive and it does not remind me of a good place. Rather, I envision a constant delirious struggle with myself, getting caught in a loop over thinking various problems and feeling uncertain of ever being able to overcome the odds and live in peace. These are the very thought processes Chester Bennington described himself dealing with, in an interview with 102.7 KIISFM radio in February of this year. After a while, I realized the music was keeping me from moving past my own issues, so I grew out of it.

When it comes to Bennington himself, there are three things worth highlighting. First, there is the molestation by an older male friend. In his own words, Bennington described:

“It escalated from a touchy, curious, ‘what does this thing do’ into full-on, crazy violations. I was getting beaten up and being forced to do things I didn’t want to do. It destroyed my self-confidence. I didn’t want people to think I was gay or that I was lying. It was a horrible experience.”

It seems so tiring, but still necessary to reiterate the recurring theme we see with perverted males sexually exploiting boys and young men and the mental issues that result from the experiences. From Korn frontman Jonathan Davis’s well-known experience with sexual abuse, to more recently Milo describing his own struggle with two men molesting him as a teenager, there is a burgeoning and complicated problem here, and whatever the reasons for the failures of parents to protect and guide their children, sexual deviants are not being eradicated as they should, but instead the increasingly degenerate and shrill LGBT lobby is aiding them in campaigns that primarily target children, like Drag Queen Story Hour, just to name one off the top of my head.

Male child sexual abuse is such a pervasive issue that even CNN picked up on it, in their own special, fake newsy kind of way. They acknowledged the fact, yet set their sights on blaming “gender roles” and claiming the solution lies in emotionally supporting male sexual abuse victims in the manner of women. Nice try from CNN, though. Just trying to emasculate men even further.

The second issue worth bringing up is the drug addiction and alcoholism. According to NME:

His childhood was troubled – suffering sexual abuse from an older male friend from the age of seven until he was 13, Chester turned to drugs including opium, amphetamine and cocaine in the wake of the divorce, and was physically bullied at school.

This is how Bennington described his early teen years:

“I was on 11 hits of acid a day. I dropped so much acid I’m surprised I can still speak! I’d smoke a bunch of crack, do a bit of meth and just sit there and freak out. Then I’d smoke opium to come down. I weighed 110 pounds. My mom said I looked like I stepped out of Auschwitz. So I used pot to get off drugs. Every time I’d get a craving, I’d smoke my pot.”

Addiction is something we all have to face at one time or another, and it’s nothing new to us in the Alt-Right. Whether it’s overreacting, video games, drugs, alcohol, sex — the actual thing we are (or were) addicted to doesn’t matter. Nor does the underlying cause. Perhaps we were stressed by the imagined magnitude of our responsibilities so we developed an addiction to numb ourselves, perhaps we were blinded by pride and lust, perhaps we were just lonely, perhaps we hurt someone and have trouble getting over the guilt. In worst cases, maybe we were abused and exploited by adults we thought we could trust.

Whatever the details, there is a lesson to be gained from all struggles. They leave a mark on us and give a great depth to our lives, and this depth is neither good nor bad. It just is. Being red-pilled is certainly one such mark.

I don’t wish to preach here about overcoming addiction because it’s a topic that can be discussed endlessly and only ever offers mixed results. If someone is ready to get over an addiction, they will, and they’ll do it in a way that suits them. Wherever we stand in our personal journeys, take solace in the knowledge that one of the key factors that differentiates the Alt-Right from other political and cultural movements, especially the eternally victimized liberals, is our dedication to self-betterment and our ability to critically recognize our own faults and learn from them. Our primary goal is to make a better world for ourselves and others. We know from where true contentment springs, and that giving up is not an option. Especially if we have children. Which brings me to my third and final point.

Chester Bennington had six children. If you have children, whatever old injustices and sufferings your mind still circles around become irrelevant, and your focus must be to ensure that your children live a protected life with proper parental guidance. You don’t get to kill yourself over feelings, no matter how painful those feelings may be. Doing otherwise is only perpetuating that pain into the next, innocent generation and opening them up to the same behaviors and thinking patterns that drove you to your grave.

This is also a challenge our generation faces. We’ve grown up exposed to so much misinformation and deliberately harmful depictions of “modern life” in the media and in our immediate surroundings that we’ve nearly forgotten how to treat each other and ourselves properly. How to be strong gentlemen and ladies who are not tossed into suicidal spasms of regret and sorrow over past mistakes and grudges.

Still, even if our minds are in the right place, it will require some effort to unlearn and suffocate all those poor behaviors and urges right where they stand. The degeneracy has to end with us. We have to break off that cycle of abuse, addiction, leftist social conditioning, for good, or we risk affecting future generations. This is the essence of our cause, and what we must represent.

Are we up for the journey? Don’t despair, maybe Linkin Park can provide some inspiration:

  • My generation (gen x) really needs to apologize because this is the end result of grunge. Music for white teenagers was depressing when we were told it was deep. Kurt Cobain shoots himself & he is some kind of hero that “figured it all out”??? Meanwhile rappers & the black music industry are all about partying, making money & getting girls to whatever they command. Chester didn’t enjoy his accomplishments because like all of us, he is white & never allowed to enjoy life & be proud. Self-hate is what we are taught. Just look at the reactions an intelligent, handsome, successful White Man gets.

  • I think you are being way too generous to Linkin Park in terms of the type of impact they had and what they meant to the millennial generation as a whole. They were mostly a forgettable band with one or two popular albums and a few singles. Most of us probably remember “In the End” and “Crawling” but after that? Not so much. I had no idea whether they were still doing tours and making albums when he killed himself like a moron. I only feel sorry for his kids.

I also hate how generations are defined by their teen years. For most people teen years are the most uneventful, retarded time of one’s life with no real purpose so they listen to shitty music in their parents basement all day. A generation is truly defined, I think, by its middle ages.

On a side note, I never believe anything a famous person says about their childhood.

      • Yeah, that guy. The one who has done more to build up the Alt Right than any other person on the planet, including Richard – not that we need to get into a pissing contest.

In case you hadn’t noticed, regular people like articles that start with “Well” and “Yeah”. That’s why his website is sooooooo much more popular than any other one.

        • Wasn’t that moron supposed to be in jail for sending his moronic attack dogs to attack some hook-nosed fiend?

And by the way, saying how that idiot made the alt right in what it is today is absolutely idiotic; the only thing that cretin did, was push for anime degeneracy – to hell with him!

I remember reading one post of his thralls: the thrall wrote, and I’m paraphrasing: you andrew are so much better leader than Richard Spencer. LOL!

andrew anglin is so dumb it’s insulting.

  • Want a band that actually turns pain into something positive? Check out “Hate Breed”, especially their album “perseverance”. Great music to lift to and littered with altright themes (no not race realism sorry;). Honor, determination, family…it’s all there guys, behind a heavy hardcore freight train! Even has one track that speaks agains anarchist like antifa.

    • They’re great live too.
I saw them at a metal festival and didn’t know who they were. Their straightforward brutality held my attention. Nothing dainty or pretentious about these guys.

    • Awww…..

      A Victim??

      Really??

      Shut the F up, Btch…….

You know how much Sht I’ve been through and overcome??

Without anywhere near WEALTH and PRIVILEGE……

      The Btch was WEAK……

      From a WEAK Genetic Line……

      He crossed himself out…..

      Mother Nature coalesced his Ego……..

      • You are a huge a hole and I hope some black person forces intercourse with your mother. I experienced the same things as this guy, raped, beaten and force to do drugs. I’m extremely fucked up and nothing can fix it.

  • I grew up in the 1990s and the 2000s and remember lots of drugs. I know for a fact it’s even worse in some white communities now. Meth was utterly fringe in my time, it’s practically mainstream in some areas now.

I was on 11 hits of acid a day. I dropped so much acid I’m surprised I can still speak!

Acidheads are notorious for exaggerating their LSD use and he is almost certainly exaggerating here. LSD builds up tolerance in the short term, he wasn’t using “11 hits of acid a day” for any length of time.

But his LSD use is almost certainly a factor in his mental illness and depression. LSD use is correlated with depression and schizophrenia but these symptoms often take 20 years to show up.

Considering that LSD distribution doesn’t even have the potential profit that marijuana, cocaine, opiates and amphetamines do, and considering the serious jail time one gets for distributing LSD, it’s awfully odd that it’s around in such quantities. Considering the history of LSD, a quite fascinating and very surprising story, one might suspect there is a unique agenda behind that drug specifically.

    • Thank you for the thoughtful comment!
I tried to do more digging into his childhood, mainly how on earth he had such easy access to drugs at such a young (11!) age. But could not find much. His parents divorced in his teens. At first, his father took custody of him, then a few years later he moved in with his mother. She kicked him out of the house permanently at age 17 due to his drug use… strange.
Whatever happened in this guy’s life, similar abuse needs to be prevented as much as possible. Our suburban communities are really suffering from it.

Through the fish-eyed lens of tear stained eyes
I can barely define the shape of this moment in time
And far from flying high in clear blue skies
I’m spiraling down to the hole in the ground where I hide.

If you negotiate the minefield in the drive
And beat the dogs and cheat the cold electronic eyes
And if you make it past the shotguns in the hall,
Dial the combination, open the priesthole
And if I’m in I’ll tell you what’s behind the wall.

There’s a kid who had a big hallucination
Making love to girls in magazines.
He wonders if you’re sleeping with your new found faith.
    Could anybody love him
Or is it just a crazy dream?

And if I show you my dark side
Will you still hold me tonight?
And if I open my heart to you
And show you my weak side
    What would you do?
Would you sell your story to Rolling Stone?
Would you take the children away
    And leave me alone?
    And smile in reassurance
As you whisper down the phone?
    Would you send me packing?
Or would you take me home?

Thought I oughta bare my naked feelings,
Thought I oughta tear the curtain down.
I held the blade in trembling hands
Prepared to make it but just then the phone rang
I never had the nerve to make the final cut.

  • The fact that so many White kids get molested by older White guys – usually relatives- is part of the reason WN hasn’t taken off. Where’s the motivation to care about the White race if it was a White guy who abused you? Or someone you know?
We need to drive home the point to people that kiddie fiddlers are traitors, and traitors get the rope; No exceptions.

    What Fin Pathetic Coward……..

I hate them even More Now….

  • Great article, Couldn’t agree more. I loved their music in middle school for the reasons you mentioned. However I could not listen to them after their second cd. I grew out of it and I couldnt really go back and listen to it today either. I also enjoy how this article doesn’t spin into some weird conspiracy theory BS.

  • Waaaaaaaah I’m a millionaire with millions of fans around the world and a wife and kids but I’m still sad even though I’ve totally made up for all the shit I went through waaaaaaaaaaahhhhh

  • My issue with equating consensual LBGT sexual behavior with sexual assault like this article is that it is a laughably ridiculously false equivalency talking point of the Cucktians. I won’t use it because it makes look like their tool using their talking points.

Quite frankly, I despise the Cucktians more than just about anyone on left. Whenever I say anything critical of the LGBT community, I try to avoid Cucktian talking points by just creating my own.

      • Why is he a child? He is right!!! A wife with 6 kids and he leaves them for good? A lot of people loved him and he left them because of depression?

    • I don’t think suicide is always the wrong choice. I think it’s okay when it’s the only way to escape a certain worse fate. For example if you are trapped in a burning building and the only choice is burning to death or jump thirty feet and die. A better example would be someone like Hitler. Had he not killed himself in his bunker he would have surely been tortured by bolsheviks and killed anyway. Although it would have been better had he strapped some bombs to himself and took many bolsheviks to hell with him as he could. But the “I’m feeling depressed so I’m going to go hang myself” is super gay. I agree with you, the guy had no reason to kill himself.

  • And this website calls itself “altright”? This website is trying to cash in and is using the alright for its own purposes.

Lincoln Park is gay, this article sucks and may this piece of crap rest in piss, nothing we can learn from the degenerate.

    • Interesting that you focus on the victim. His abuser is the degenerate who should have been hung on a lamp post. This kid is just another victim who- in the absence of a proper male guardian- never stood a chance.

  • I had never heard of this person until someone mentioned to me that he had died. My response was “Don’t pay any attention.” We should try to avoid any contact with mainstream entertainment/media. To the extent that he was a successful mainstream artist, he made money helping our racial enemies brainwash our youth. Our racial enemies like it when our young people hear about suicides, even when they are presented ostensibly for the purpose of suicide prevention.

Some instances of celebrities dying before their time may be hoaxes. Some may be murders. I don’t really follow this too closely. The two examples that stand out the most in my mind are the following: It seems plausible that Tyka Nelson could be Prince and that Jack Steven (at least the person appearing as him on TV recently) could be David Bowie.

    • You touched upon a very interesting subject that I pointed out in CNN’s article about the suicide. (((Their))) solution to the problem is treating men more like women and furthering the dissolution of gender roles so men could feel “safe” talking about their problems. This is certainly not a helpful tactic, but something deliberately harmful.
Linkin Park didn’t really have a message to do any brainwashing. At most, they encompassed that feeling of isolation and anger that young millenials in the 2000s experienced in an increasingly fragmented West. I didn’t like the band because they didn’t provide any necessary hope or moral fortitude. It was a lot of whining. Therefore, not recommended listening!

      • Joseph Atwill talks about the subject of the “message” of mainstream pop music. He has regular conversations with Tim Kelly on the thkelly67 channel on YouTube. He has also done Red Ice interviews. The Linkin Park message may not exactly be brainwashing, but it is something similar to that. It is a sort of conditioning to encourage a sense of nihilism and futility.

        • Yes, it keeps listeners down and makes them feel like life challenges everyone faces are these inescapable demons only unique to them.
And thanks for mentioning that channel, I’ll check it out.

          • No, Check out your Husband……

            And Bow to his Demands……

            And Produce more White Babies……

We don’t need your Opinion on Music……..

          • Atwill said something similar in one of his discussions. Mainstream music presents dysfunction as if it were an example to be followed.

      • There is a movement out of England that is represented in most Commonwealth countries called the “Men’s Shed” with a tagline, “met don’t communicate face to face they communicate shoulder to shoulder.”

Getting men in a circle to talk about their problems is ridiculous, effeminate, and ineffective. On the other hand, having a social club, like a fraternity, or a community workshop like the “men’s shed” has proven to be a very effective way to prevent depression and suicide among men who are isolated, single, divorced, estranged from the families or communities, etc.

Surprise surprise, men and women are really different and what works for one doesn’t work foe the other. Shocking I know.

        • Promise Keepers was like that. A bunch of Christian men basically singing koombayah and cucking themselves. Best way to fight depression is to get involved in your community and build friendships along the way. Regain a sense of of purpose.

    • I’m not interested in music or art that depicts this shitty world as it is. Great music and art say something about the world as it ought to be.

  • If you’ve had a shitty life and you’re artistically-inclined, don’t use your art to spread your pain. Create something positive.

LP was a shitty band and like all the grunge bands of the previous decade, it was promoted to spread depression and nihilism among youthful Whites.

    • “LP was a shitty band and like all the grunge bands of the previous decade, it was promoted to spread depression and nihilism among youthful Whites.”

      Absolutely.

      • I tend to think young Whites were already feeling miserable as they woke up to their increasingly diverse surroundings. The sense that society was heading in a shitty direction was palpable. I know I felt it back in Central NJ with the increasing crime and dozens of Polish and Hungarian immigrant families moving out. It wasn’t the music that told them life sucked. It just confirmed it.
However, Linkin Park is not a good band because they did not provide any positive outlet or hope in their songs. So rather than creating depression, it kept Whites feeling down instead of inspiring them.

        • And then you moved to Hungary…….

          Brave Move, Sista…..

I live in the Belly of the Beast in the Northeast………

          Serve your Husband and Family……

That’s all I want to hear from you………

      • I agree with the depression and nihilism part but Alice in Chains and Breaking Benjamin sound good. Also, I really like the song “Leave Out All The Rest” from Linkin Park.

  • I feel like an article about Linkin Park on this site should maybe be talking about how Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington both mysteriously hung themselves with red exercise bands. I’d rather be reading some stuff about how they are possibly linked to the international pedophile ring, either as partakers or whistleblowers, or both. Still not exactly alt right material… but still. moar redpills plz

      • If that is crazy to you maybe you should wake up more?? That is 100% why he was killed and Chris C was killed – The Sheriff in the next county to me was killed in his house for much of the same same stuff – TO MUCH INVESTIGATING – into the elite… The 20 year+ sheriff killed himself ” cuz he did some paper wrong and the State was investigating it” Really? Being around a lot of buddy’s that are ex Spec opp – the Deep State kills anything and anyone that gets near its “black books” … you hear that Alt Right… are you ready?

          • Truth hurting David? Why would not understand that both of these guys had the inside dirt on all the perihelia in the elite entertainment world – fact. They were going to let that all out – you think the elite are going to just let you do that after they give you the chance to be mega stars ?? Utter nonsense. As for the Sheriff he was still investigating the death of Seal Chris Kyle. He was told to stop, but wanted the truth – that to got him killed … its called the real world David.

      • Thank you. I needed this article tonight.

“You don’t get to kill yourself over feelings, no matter how painful those feelings may be. Doing otherwise is only perpetuating that pain into the next, innocent generation and opening them up to the same behaviors and thinking patterns that drove you to your grave.”

        Cheers!

  • This kind of music is just pressure release valve for white suburban males impotent rage. It’s fuck you mom and dad stuff.

    • Not really. Korn was fuck you mom and dad stuff.
Linkin Park was more emo and depressive. This is why I couldn’t listen to them for more than a few months. But they hit a nerve with millenials back in the early 2000s. They kind of foretold the lonely and lost mental state many young adults would now find themselves in. That is the most interesting thing to me, and I believe our wonderful Alt-Right community would have a lot to offer young men who feel that way.

      • We don’t need Alt-Right Women to lecture Alt-Right Men……

Your place is having Children and taking care of the Family………

        Stop LARPing as a Man……..

  • There’s nothing the alt right can learn from his awful whiny wigger degenerate music. I always hated Linken Park, one of the worst bands ever. I’m glad he’s dead.

  • Please don’t confuse abuse of substances/excessive activities/self-destructive behaviour with actual addiction.

Clearly you know not of what you speak. True addiction doesn’t care about one’s willpower; the loss of power of choice is what defines addiction. Nothing matters but the drug of choice. I’m four years in recovery from alcohol abuse, and it was only a spiritual experience (a power greater than myself) that finally freed me from the relentless compulsion.

Addiction is not the same as youthful decadence or even self-medicating.✌?

    • Addiction is a failure of willpower that people describe as inescapable in order to deny their own responsibility like some kind of degenerate Boomer unable to accept blame for their own actions.

Take responsibility for your actions. This is the Alt-right, not some feel-good cult self-help group.

  • Initially, you (Melissa) came across as tough to me. And now I find that you’re a recovering Linkin Park fan? 😛 Not to brag, but I was appalled by this “nu metal” stuff from the very first moment I came across it. It seemed like such a travesty, when compared to bands like Pantera and Manowar.

And the singer’s recollection of his childhood. I think it’s funny that all out-of-control addicts tell these stories about supposed sexual abuse too. I’ve really gotten the impression that they make them up in order to excuse how they themselves turned out. I mean, I’ve had people around me turn out really badly, individuals I know were never sexually abused. And then there’s of course the matter of people who were indeed sexually abused, yet who didn’t became addicts.

This guy was just weak. I’m straight edge myself and have always been – I’ve got nothing but contempt for addicts.

    • Listening to this band for 3 months when I was 16 does not make me a fan. I even wrote that I did NOT like their whiny depressive lyrics. 😀
But I have listened to everything at one point. From old Motown classics to synthwave. It really depends on my mood.

      • We Alt-Right Brothers prefer you having Children and taking care of your Family……..

        Thank you……
